Terms of use

Pokémon TCG Virtual Collector is a free, independently operated planning tool for arranging trading cards in virtual binders. No account is required and no purchase or donation is necessary.

The service is not affiliated with, endorsed by or produced by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc. or Vault X®.

Pokémon TCG Virtual Collector has been built, maintained and developed with assistance from artificial-intelligence tools, including Claude and ChatGPT. They have helped turn feature ideas into code, draft and refine interface text and documentation, review potential problems, and support testing and troubleshooting. mattG directs the project, decides what is published and remains responsible for the service.

AI systems can make mistakes, produce incomplete or inaccurate material, and fail to identify security, accessibility, legal or functional issues. Their involvement is not a guarantee that the website, its wording or its code is error-free. Users should independently check information that matters to them and report suspected problems privately to mattg@pokemontcgvc.com.

This dedicated disclosure replaces the former short AI credit in the footer so the role and limitations of these tools can be explained properly. It is intended to make their use clearer, not to conceal or minimise it.

Your binder library is stored in your browser unless you deliberately enable account cloud sync. Browser copies remain available after signing out, pausing sync or deleting an account. You are responsible for keeping restorable JSON backups if the information matters to you. Browser data can be cleared by browsers, devices, privacy tools, policies or user action without warning.

PDF, Excel and CSV exports are useful records, but only the site's JSON export can be imported to restore an editable binder.

Accounts are optional. You must provide accurate access credentials, protect your password and authenticator application, and promptly change credentials you believe are compromised. Do not share an account or attempt to access somebody else's account or cloud binders.

Email verification, Google sign-in, password recovery and authenticator-app MFA are supplied through external authentication services. Their availability cannot be guaranteed. If you enable MFA, you must complete it before accessing cloud binder data or account settings.

Cloud sync maintains browser copies and uses revision checks to identify conflicting edits, but it is not a substitute for your own backup. When a conflict is shown, choosing one copy replaces the other. Pausing sync leaves existing cloud copies in place; deleting the account permanently removes its active remote profile, binder, profile-image and account-owned shared-link data while preserving browser binders on the current device.

You may use a display name or alias and optional profile fields. Do not impersonate another person or use profile text or images that are unlawful, abusive, infringing, misleading or disclose somebody's personal information without permission.

To respond to a verified privacy request, account-support issue, security incident, abuse report, legal obligation or suspected breach of these terms, the operator may use a restricted administration process to review relevant remotely stored account information, cloud binders, profile images and account-owned shared links. Browser-only binders stored on your device cannot be accessed through this process.

Where reasonably necessary and proportionate, the operator may correct a display name, reset profile images, remove a cloud binder or shared link, suspend or restore an account, or permanently delete an account and its remote data. Suspension blocks access to remotely stored account data but does not remove binders already stored in the user's browser. Urgent action may be taken without advance notice where notice could increase harm, frustrate a security response or conflict with law.

Administrative access is recorded in a protected audit log. Directory access receives a standard directory reason; private views and changes use either a specific case reason or the routine-administration reason explicitly selected by the operator. If you believe an action is mistaken, or want to make a privacy request or report, email mattg@pokemontcgvc.com with enough information to identify the account or shared link. Do not send a password or authenticator secret.

Creating a shared link uploads a sanitised, view-only binder snapshot. Shared links are unlisted, not access-controlled: anyone with the URL may view, copy and pass it on.

Do not place confidential, unlawful, offensive or personally identifying information in binder names or anything you share. Shared links normally expire 180 days after creation, but links or stored snapshots may be removed earlier where reasonably necessary.

Links created while signed in are listed in My account → Shared links. You may permanently delete your own listed link, which stops its URL working immediately. The current limit is ten new links per internet connection in a rolling 24-hour period; deleting a link does not restore that allowance.

You may upload an image to represent an Extended Art, Michi Method or other custom binder insert. You must have the right or permission to use, export and, where applicable, share that image.

Do not upload or share malicious, unlawful, infringing, abusive, exploitative, personally identifying or sensitive material. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any attempt to use the image feature to distribute malware or other prohibited content are strictly forbidden.

Accepted files are checked, decoded and re-encoded as static images to reduce file-based risks. Those technical checks do not review or approve what an image depicts. You remain responsible for every image you add or share. Custom images are stored in this browser, included in relevant exports and included in a shared snapshot when you deliberately create a shared link.

You must not misuse the site or assist anyone else to do so. In particular, you must not:

• attempt to bypass sharing limits, access controls or security measures;
• interfere with the service, probe it destructively, distribute malware or conduct denial-of-service testing;
• access, extract or retain another person's non-public information without authorisation;
• use automated requests in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on the site or its providers; or
• use the service or a shared link for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity.

Access, links or content may be limited or removed where reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users or third parties. Report a suspected abusive shared binder by emailing its full URL to mattg@pokemontcgvc.com.

Card names, set information, artwork, prices, exchange rates and external marketplace links come from third-party or community sources. They may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable or inaccurate.

Binder values are estimates for general information only. They are not professional valuations, offers to buy or sell, or financial advice. Check the card, condition, printing, currency and current marketplace information before making a decision.

The site's original interface, code, written content and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may use the service for personal collection planning, but may not reproduce or operate a misleading copy of the service without permission.

Pokémon names, characters, card artwork and associated marks belong to their respective owners. Vault X® and other binder names belong to their respective owners. Their descriptive use does not imply sponsorship or partnership.

Supabase, Google sign-in, the configured transactional-email provider, TCGdex, the Pokémon TCG API, Scrydex image delivery, Ko-fi, Cardmarket, eBay and other external services operate under their own terms and policies. This site is not responsible for their availability, content, transactions or decisions.

Donations are entirely optional and do not purchase additional features, priority support or a guarantee that the service will remain available. Payments are processed by Ko-fi and its payment providers.

The site is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may change, experience errors or be temporarily or permanently unavailable. Reasonable care is taken to maintain the service, but uninterrupted operation, compatibility and permanent storage cannot be guaranteed.

These terms may be updated when the service changes. The effective date appears at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after an update means the revised terms apply from that point.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost binder data, missed sales, inaccurate values, third-party services or decisions made using information displayed by the site.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
